أعلن مكتب مفوض الشرق الأوسط للجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان ومبعوث المجلس الدولي لشؤون الأمم المتحدة في جنيف السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد أنه وضع أمين عام الأمم المتحدة انطونيو غوتيريس ومفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان السيدة ميشال باشوليه بملخص الاحداث في سوريا وهواجس اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان من بعض الدول في الشرق الأوسط وخصوصا ربط الشأن العام السوري باللبناني. وأشار المكتب أن التقرير تضمن ستة هواجس قريبة من المداولات وما يُحاك وراء الكواليس ويُشاع في الأوساط، مرورا بالأوضاع الأمنية التي تعمل عليها بعض الدول الكبرى التي تحاول العودة إلى المربع الأول. وتخوف السفير ابو سعيد في التقرير من البيانات التي ترد إليه عن جهات تعمل للإستفادة من عناوين حقوقية لتمرير أجندات سياسية بعيدة كل البعد عن المفهوم التشريعي لحقوق الإنسان.

The Office of the Middle East Commissioner of the International Commission for Human Rights and the International Council for Human Rights envoy in Geneva, Ambassador Haitham Abu Said, announced that he put United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and High Commissioner for Human Rights Michel Bachelet to summarize the events in Syria and the concerns of the International Human Rights Committee from some countries in the Middle Middle Middle East, especially linking the Syrian public. The OIOS noted that the report included six concerns close to deliberations, behind the scenes, and common in the media, as well as the security conditions that some major countries are working on, trying to return to square one.
